How much does it cost to book a hotel online?
In order to secure your reservation, you will be required to pay either a 10% deposit or the total amount in advance by credit card, depending on which hotel you book. In cases where you pay a 10% deposit, the balance of 90% is due on arrival at the hotel. Prices stated are either per person sharing or per room per night depending on the hotel, this information is specified on the hotel microsite.

Do I require a credit card to book online?
You need a valid credit card to make an online reservation.

Is this a secure web site?
The booking and confirmation section of the DiscountHotels website is secured to 128bit encryption through Verisign. This is currently the highest standard of security available on the Internet and ensures that any information which you submit including your credit card details will remain completely confidential.

What happens if I need to cancel or change my reservations?
Information on cancelling or changing your booking will be contained the confirmation email you receive after your booking has been made. Please note that you must agree with the hotel's specific cancellation policy as part of the booking process.

Are these bookings guaranteed and confirmed?
When you make your booking, you will be provided with an Itinerary ID, Confirmation Number and Hotel Confirmation ID. Shortly after you will receive a confirmation email with full details of your booking. Your booking will then be fully confirmed unless it is specifically stated otherwise in the email.

How early do I need to book ahead?
As a precaution, it is advisable to book as far ahead as possible. Throughout the year, the most popular hotels in main cities are booked out well in advance, particularly during the summer months. Therefore it is recommended that you book ahead and guarantee a room!

The properties on DiscountHotels are all separate enterprises and we do not own them or manage them, we simply provide them with the facility to accept online reservations, so we do advise that you direct your complaint to the hotel in question during your stay. However we do take all complaints seriously, and will monitor them, and forward them in turn to the hotel.
